Just a few minutes ago, Fabian Cancellara finished in second place in the vote for 'Swiss Personality of the Year' at the gala event in Zurich's Hallenstadion.

The new 'Swiss Personality of the Year' is Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf, a member of the Bundesrat. Nominated for the award were individuals from the categories of politics, business, show business, culture and society, as well as three successful athletes who were given awards at the Credit Suisse Sports Awards.
